History

On July 11, 1996 a group of Overseas Filipino Workers ( OFW’s) led by Hon. Mohammad Omar Fajardo, funded a movement that will fight for the advocacy of the unsung heroes, called OFW Movement. Its first inception was a unified decision of the following  workers from different categories;

OFW – acronym for the Overseas Filipino Workers also known before as the Contract Workers ( OCW ) until its name was changed through a special Law the migrant workers act 1995.
Through the years this movement has successfully rendered community services like, Medical Missions, Livelihood Trainings, Cooperativism, entrepreneurship and basic accounting among its members.  
Its activities did not stop, until it has form a political arm the “Ang Tao Muna at Bayan” also known as “A TAMBAY” partylist. In coordination with the Overseas Filipino Workers Movement (OFW) and Sandigan ng Manggagawang Filipino sa Ibayong Dagat, ( SAMPID ) Following the ideology of the Peoples Patriotic Movement ( PPM ) founded by Prof. Emanuel Q. Yap five decades ago. Since its aim is to make the workers politically empowered. The “Ang Tao Muna at Bayan” or “A Tambay” partylist has conducted several trainings on  both economic and political empowerment in the following area:
